Prof. Chiueh’s group, the Microsystem Research Laboratory (MSRL), focuses on signal processing algorithm and SDR implementation related to communication baseband systems, as well as neural networks SoC design and applications. These topics require knowledge in digital communication, signal processing, neural networks, and IC design. Languages and tools such as C, matlab, OpenCL, and Verilog are used to design GPU-based SDR, FPGA and ASIC.

MSRL will continue to work on baseband signal processing of wireless communication systems and neural network IC design and applications. New applications of signal processing for bio-medical related devices and instruments are also under way.
